We have an absolute classic in the shop today. The Yamaha YFH-731 is a legendary vintage instrument, known as Yamaha's very first professional-level flugelhorn. If you are a doubler, a jazz soloist, or a commercial player looking for an incredibly warm, dark, and velvety tone, this horn is an absolute joy to play.
The 731 is the silver-plated counterpart to the famous 631 model. Many players actively seek out the 731 specifically because the silver-plated finish helps mellow out the sound, giving it that classic, smoky flugelhorn character while retaining Yamaha's famously precise intonation and slotting.

Please note: this horn is currently on our bench for a quick professional flush and hand polish, and it will be completely shined up and gig-ready before it ships to you!

Mechanics: Bench-Tested & Ready. Our in-house repair team has inspected this flugelhorn. The 3-valve section is quick and smooth, the compression is tight, and all slides move exactly as they should.

Accessories: Includes the original Yamaha hard case. Please note: the case itself is structurally solid, but the handle is heavily worn and starting to split. It still functions, but shows significant wear.
