- How much is our students instrument?:
- Most of our pre-owned students instruments range from $700-$1000, all our instruments come with our competitve 1-year warranty and buy-back program.
- Can we rent from Fleming Music?
- We strive to make owning your own instrument easy and simple. We offer a better solution: our 0% interest financing plans allow you to own your own instrument for less than the cost of renting.
- Do you offer financing on student bundles/instruments?
- Yes! We offer multiple options to finance your instrument and supplies. We partner with well-known institutions like Synchrony Bank, Affirm, and ShopPay, to provide you with the plan that best fits your budget. Often, these financing payments are more affordable than monthly rental fees, and you will be the owner of your very own musical instrument that can be sold at a later date.
- What happens if my student decides to quit band? How does the buy-back program work?
- All of our student instruments come with a buy-back program offer. Bring the instrument to us and we will make an offer on the current condition of the instrument. We've honored this program hundreds of times with no issues. Also, because the parent would be the owner of said instrument, they are free to go about a private sale, transfer it to a younger sibling, or keep it for a later date! There is no requirement to return it back into the shop like rental instruments.
- How will my student receive their new instrument and supplies?
- We will deliver all instruments and completed bundles to the band hall over the summer. The bundles will be packaged and labeled with your student's name. You won't have to worry about transporting your student's new instrument on the first day of school. We'll take care of everything!
- What payment methods do you offer?
- We take payments in cash, check, card, ShopPay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and multiple financing options. You can make a purchase via the website, in person, or on the phone. We're happy to assist in any way we can!
- What does your repair warranty cover?
- Every pre-owned instrument we sell comes with a full inspection and repair services (if necessary). We take pride in our work and our instruments, and will guarantee that every instrument we sell is free of mechanical issues. Our 1-year warranty will cover any parts and labor that needs to be completed within the first year. We do not cover any accidental damage outside of the scope of normal use. For example, if the instrument is dropped by the student, we would not remove those dents for free. If a key becomes loose within the normal scope of playing the instrument, that would be covered.
- Should we purchase a new or used instrument?
- This is a personal preference. The new instruments will come with the included manufacturers warranty, usually covering 5-10 years of factory defects. Each manufacturer is different and their warranties vary. Used instruments sold from Fleming Music will come with our 1-year limited warranty, and will play and perform just as well and their newer counterparts. Some students and parents are inclined to the be the first owner of their new instrument (shiny!), and we are happy to be able to offer that option to our customers.
- How often do you come to our school?
- We visit every partner school in our rotation once per week. Please talk with your director about your school's assigned day. We are able to pick up repair instruments, drop off purchased accessories, and deliver completed repairs on these days.
