Many professional repair technicians consider this model to be a "sleeper pro horn" because it shares the same acoustic body tube design as the legendary YAS-62. This specific instrument is a true "Road Warrior"—it has seen plenty of use and shows it, but it plays with the reliability and intonation that made Yamaha famous.
The YAS-52 Reputation
- Made in Japan: Unlike modern intermediate horns, the classic 52s were built in Yamaha’s Japanese pro factory. The brass quality and build tolerances are exceptional.

- Condition Report: "Well-Loved / Workhorse." Cosmetically, this horn has scratches and lacquer wear throughout the body. The Yamaha logo on the neck is missing, which is a purely cosmetic quirk common to this model (the glued-on emblem often pops off over time). However, mechanically, it is solid. It has been inspected by our shop and is "working super well," ready to play right out of the case.
