Instead of wood, the body is crafted from a highly stable pure hard rubber (ebonite). This gives the instrument a beautifully warm, liquid, and resonant tone that easily rivals wooden clarinets twice its price, but with one massive advantage: it will never crack. If you are a gigging professional playing outdoor summer concerts, doubling in drafty theater pits, or dealing with wild humidity swings, this is the ultimate stress-free professional horn.
