The H378 Intermediate French Horn features a Farkas wrap, providing independent tuning for convenience and allowing the player to tune the Bb side of the horn separately from the F side. This model boasts a medium throat bell with yellow brass construction, producing a higher tone color with more overtones for clearer projection.
The H378 is equipped with an independent Bb main tuning slide, increasing tuning flexibility. Holton horns also feature tapered rotors, which enhance the instrument's longevity and performance. The valve rotors are tapered so that as the valve wears, it automatically seats itself, including the bearing surfaces axles on each end of the valve and the bearing plates.
