We have a fascinating and substantial vintage low-brass project on the bench today. This F.E. Olds & Son bell-front baritone horn features a detachable bell design and a striking two-tone aesthetic—appearing to pair a silver-plated bell section with a traditional lacquered brass body.
We are letting this one go as-is. It is definitely not a new horn, and while it is all in one piece, it has lived a full life showing normal vintage scars, including scratches, dents, and overall cosmetic wear. The valves currently need some mechanical alignment before it's ready for prime-time playing. If you are looking for a classic Fullerton-era project or a cool marching baritone restoration piece to tinker with in the shop, this is a great candidate.
