Pre-Owned C.G. Conn 88HCL "Christian Lindberg" Professional Bb/F Tenor Trombone - Rose Brass Bell
We have one of the most acclaimed modern orchestral and solo tenor trombones on the bench today. The C.G. Conn 88H has served as an industry standard for symphonic low brass players for decades, prized for its dark, resonant foundation and velvety acoustic warmth.
The 88HCL Symphony elevates that legendary platform with the patented CL2000 valve system, developed in close collaboration with world-renowned trombone virtuoso Christian Lindberg. Unlike traditional rotary valves, the CL2000 features a specialized face-to-face porting architecture that provides an ultra-short mechanical throw and an almost imperceptible transition between the open horn and the F-attachment. Matched with an open-wrap layout and an 8.5" resonant rose brass bell, the 88HCL delivers an effortless, open blow with a massive, harmonically rich tone that anchors an orchestral section or soars in a solo hall.
Carrying serial number 215895, this instrument came to us with military band provenance (ex-USAF). It presents an honest, road-tested appearance with surface scratches consistent with professional touring use, but structurally and mechanically it is completely solid, fully regulated, and ready for demanding rehearsal and stage work.
