The E. Rousseau ER50 Classic Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece is a premium classical mouthpiece resulting from a collaboration between Dr. Eugene Rousseau's design legacy and the state-of-the-art manufacturing of the JodyJazz factory. It is a modern evolution of the popular Rousseau NC4 model. This mouthpiece is designed for the classical saxophonist who desires a free-blowing, open feel with increased projection and flexibility, making it an excellent choice for soloists in large ensembles.
This model is constructed from JodyJazz’s proprietary Chedeville Rubber, a softer hard rubber compound known for producing a warmer, more nuanced sound. The "Classic" facing curve is slightly longer than the "Custom" version, giving the player an open, free-blowing response. The tip opening is .064″ (1.62 mm), a professional standard size. The mouthpiece also features a tapered gold-plated brass ring on the shank to enhance warmth and projection.
