Steven Rodriguez has been tenured with Fleming Instruments since 2007. It is here where Steven apprenticed alongside our owner, Ed Fleming, and took stride along all wakes of repairs. From woodwind instruments, brass instruments, and even model trains, Steven welcomes a challenge. Showing natural talent and a drive to lead, Steven was appointed General Manager in 2012. Selmer Paris' Balanced Action was what many consider "the birth of the modern saxophone." During these years Selmer introduced a revolutionary new layout for the key table operating the G♯ and low C♯, B, and B♭ keys, moving the bell keys to the right side of the bell. The layout solved long-standing deficiencies in those mechanisms and all modern saxophones have left hand key tables derived from this arrangement.
This specimen seems to have been factory relacquered and has signs of worn lacquer across the body of the instrument. This one owner horn is ready to meet its second home and be played across all stages like it deserves.
