Keilwerth saxophones are famous for their massive bore design, giving them a huge, dark, and wide-open sound that stands in stark contrast to traditional French or Japanese horns. This specific alto (serial number 100877) has seen a lot of miles and shows heavy cosmetic wear, but it plays with all the power and resonance you'd expect from a top-tier German pro horn. It’s the perfect gigging alto for someone who cares entirely about the sound and less about the shine.

It features significant, heavy acid bleed under the lacquer (a very common cosmetic quirk of Keilwerths from this era), alongside general lacquer wear and scratching from years of professional use. It looks mean, and it plays exactly the same way.
