Pre-Owned Vincent Bach Stradivarius C180SL 239 Orchestral C Trumpet - Silver Plated (Circa 1978–1979)
We have another legendary American orchestral workhorse on the bench today. The Vincent Bach Stradivarius C trumpet outfitted with the celebrated #239 bell is a cornerstone of symphonic brass performance. Compared to the more open #229 bell, the #239 taper offers a richer, darker harmonic core, incredible tonal focus, and a singing upper register that commands attention from the back of the hall without breaking up under high dynamic pressure.
Bearing serial number 155844 and stamped "EL" above the serial block, this horn dates to the prime late-1970s Elkhart era. The "EL" designation indicates Bach's factory Large Bore architecture (.462") paired with their symphonic leadpipe geometry, designed to provide a massive, open air column and dependable slotting across complex orchestral excerpts. Finished in bright silver plating, this vintage Strad arrives in remarkably clean, well-cared-for condition.
