The William S. Haynes Flute Company was founded in 1888 by William Sherman Haynes and his brother George Haynes. The company has continued to innovate, incorporating modern technology while maintaining its vintage qualities and the distinctive sound that flutists associate with the Haynes name.

This flute has been professionally overhauled with Straubinger pads by our head technician, Chris Campbell, who received his Straubinger certification back in December of 2021. Chris started working at Fleming Instruments part-time during the summer of 2011. After showing a natural gift and tenacity for the work, he began his apprenticeship under Ed and Steven. He helps manages a full workload of professional woodwind and brass repairs from our partner schools and is in high demand with professional instrumentalists from all over Houston.
