This H.N. White King Silvertone trombone dates back to the late 1920's. The trombone comes in a gold trim finish and has a sterling silver bell. The Silvertone trombone comes with a dual bore 0.461/0.481" handslide and a 6 3/4" bell. These instruments were staples back in the big band era and were the go to instruments for freelancers. This instrument pre dates its famous successor, the King 2b, but is slightly on the smaller side compared to its counterpart.

The H.N. White company was founded in 1893 by Henderson White. The H.N. White company started its produciton off by designing a trombone for Thomas King. After this, the company went on to make various instruments until they were sold off in 1965.

This instrument was owned by a houston freelancer back from the 1930's. This instrument was well taken care for and was played across all sorts of venues. The slide for an instrument of this age works well when lubricated and the instrument projects with ease.
