Okay, saxophone enthusiasts, check out this vintage Conn 6M Alto Saxophone! It's seen some action over the years, with about 40% of its original lacquer remaining, but that just adds to its character, right? We're talking a gorgeous dark patina and that classic "played-in" feel. Plus, no major dents or damage – just the normal wear and tear you'd expect from a horn with this much history. This serial number (#M259xxx) puts the manufacture around 1933, technically before the finalization of the 6M design. About 1930 a totally new design carried over some of the great features of the past New Wonder model such as rolled tone holes; Resopads; Microtuners; and adjustable pivot screws; an entirely new mechanism which was far superior to earlier models. The neck gained a tenon skirt to assist in sealing and aid in the elimination of the "buzzy A"; the octave key was moved to the underside of the neck to protect it from damage; the low C sharp, B, and B flat keys now opened the G sharp pad; and the high E key gained a curve. A swivel thumbrest was added and most keys were repositioned to give the most direct mechanical action. This saxophone does ship with the pictured accessories! Hercules Sax Stand, Vandoren AL3 Mouthpiece, Berg Larsen Mouthpiece, a BG ligature, and a Rovner Ligature.
