Made approximately in the late 1960's, the King 1240 II (Silver Satin Finish, Bright Bell) BBb tuba is a beast of an instrument. Featuring a detachable recording front facing bell, this instrument can be separated into 2-pieces to allow for better storage. Large and boisterous, this tuba has a warm sound that can fill up a room. The pistons and tuning slides move freely and have quick action for a horn of this age. Included is a carrying bag that was provided as a substitute to the original case.)
This tuba belongs to one of our own fellow technicians and will be hand polished before final shipment. (Please see the last photo for an approximate example. I left the horn in a room that let the silver tarnish :( Sorry Alex.)
