Vintage Vincent Bach Stradivarius Custom Professional D Trumpet (#229 Bell) - Silver Plated
We have a rare and brilliant orchestral specialty horn on the bench today. In high-demand symphonic literature, navigating taxing high parts on a standard C trumpet can be exhausting, while traditional D trumpets often suffer from an overly bright, thin, or laser-focused timbre that sticks out of a classical brass section.
This custom Vincent Bach Stradivarius D trumpet solves that problem completely. Built on a dedicated D-pitch valve chassis, it is paired with a full-size #229 yellow brass C bell. This specialized combination allows the instrument to finger, slot, and respond effortlessly in the key of D, while the broad, iconic #229 bell flare delivers the warm, deep overtone spectrum and room-filling core tone of a premier symphonic C trumpet.
Carrying serial number 115000 with the factory "DL" casing stamp, this mid-1970s Elkhart horn was purposefully configured for the professional symphonic player who wants the high-register security of a D horn without compromising on dark orchestral breadth.
