It is crafted from proprietary Chedeville® Hard Rubber (CHR), a purer, softer formula than standard ebonite, which contributes to its rich, warm timbre. The design features a Large Round Chamber and a beautiful rollover baffle that prevents "unpleasant highs," while a thick, heavy gold-plated brass band on the shank adds complexity and boosts harmonics to the sound. The size 8 offers a large tip opening of .090″ (2.28 mm), providing maximum air flow, a free-blowing feel, and a massive, warm core sound with excellent projection when pushed.
