The E. Rousseau Classic R Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece (4R) is the original E. Rousseau design, first introduced in 1972. This model is a professional-grade choice tailored for serious students and gigging players, especially those in classical settings. These mouthpieces were designed to provide a well-rounded, luxuriantly warm, and dark sound with ample power for projection.
Now precision crafted at the JodyJazz factory, each mouthpiece is made from traditional hard rubber and meticulously hand-finished for top-tier consistency and quality. The 4R version has a tip opening of .066″ (1.68 mm), offering a superb balance of control and projection for concert band, orchestra, and solo work.
