"One of the finest altos ever made in the 'Golden Age' of vintage horns"
This 1934 Conn 6M is one of the first ones off the produciton line and features many 'transitional' features. This horn breaks right across the vintage/modern boundary - not so much because of its production run (approx. 1934) but because of the combination of its (at the time) revolutionary keywork and the flexibility of its tone. Featuring rolled tone holes, microtuner, double socket, and underslung neck design. This horn flexes a big and powerful vintage tone. Intonation is moderately even throughout the full range. The horn has been played heavily and has been well cared for, but it does feature multiple spots of lacquer loss and flea bites. The action is smooth and very fast for it's age. No issues in response, and plays full range easily.
