Known as some to be one of the best saxophones ever produced, the Buescher 400 stands out among all of the vintage saxophones. At it's time of production the Buescher 400 offered huge improvements over earlier designs. Features like the 'underslung' octave key, and a leakproof one piece mouthpiece and receiver ring. Another major design change was relocation of the low B and Bb keys to avoid muffling the tone by the players body. This Buescher does still have the original snap-in resonators and all new pads.
This instrument was recently repaded here in our in house repair shop and functions extremely well. Most of the lacquer is in great shape with some wear on the high contact areas.
