This Bach New York Stradivarius Trumpet was made in 1950 in New York, USA. Attached is the official Bach manufacturing card that lists the instruments specs. New York era instruments are deemed to be extremly collectable and are regarded for their amazing playability. This trumpet would have fallen under the Post-War era of instruments manufactured by Bach. Bach had to cut back on production during the war and produced smaller quantites of instruments with their shortage in staff and materials.
This trumpet is stamped "67" but has a 37 bell. At one point in its lifetime, it seems that the horn was professionally relacquered and had several patches installed. The valves were plated with nickel and the mouthpipe is a 25. The tuning slides move freely and the valves have quick action for its age. One thing to note is that the 1st valve bottom valve cap was dented and fits a little snug. To keep this horn as original as possible, we have addressed this as best as we can to preserve all of the parts. This horn has a warm sound throughout all registers and is a joy to play.
Here is a great opportunity to own one of the most top notch trumpets ever made. The orginal case was repaired and has metal strips on the bottom of either side.
